There’s nothing like luscious Jersey tomatoes and sweet home-grown corn in the peak of the season. On August 4, you can sample some of the best -- along with ice cold beer from local craft breweries at this year’s free Corn, Tomato and Beer Festival, which promises to be bigger and better than ever.
It’s a "can’t miss" event that’s sure to attract the crowds, with tasty corn and tomato specialties from area restaurants, world-class music and plenty of activities for kids. Held on Stangl Road’s Artisan District from noon to 8 p.m., the street will be dotted with family style seating and closed to traffic all day.
There will be two music stages, and at 5 to 8 p.m., headliner CC Coletti, known for her rocking duets with Meat Loaf, will dominate center stage. The action-packed afternoon also features more than 30 artisans and vendors, a visit from Paw Patrol characters and a Ninja Warrior Course with TV’s Meiling Huang of American Ninja Warrior.
Another showstopper: the big reveal of 40 colorful Adirondack chairs built by Hunterdon County Polytech students and painted by local artists before being displayed around Flemington.
So, don’t miss out! Mark your calendar today. The festival benefits the Flemington Fire Department.
